Excellent concentration skills, attention to detail with the ability to empathise with and understand client/patient needs. Bolton Breast Imaging is committed to providing high quality care for all clients/patients attending for Breast Imaging. Imaging is undertaken for Bolton Breast Screening and Symptomatic Services, delivered at the base site at Bolton Royal Hospital, and at our 3 satellite sites in Bolton centre, Radcliffe and Rochdale. The service fully supports skill mix, with Consultant, Advanced, Enhanced and Assistant/Associate Practitioners. We are a progressive service and are supportive and actively promote continued professional development. The role of a Mammographer is to provide and maintain a high standard of mammography for all patients and clients attending for breast imaging. To work alongside Enhanced and Advanced Practitioners in interventional procedures assisting in core biopsies, VAB’s and localisations. To undertake daily, weekly and monthly quality control tests in line with the department’s quality assurance programme and report any equipment malfunction or image deterioration promptly. Regular self-assessment and peer review of performance associated with service audit is integral to the role as is continual professional development (CPD).
