Job Description
The Client Onboarding Team provides a dedicated end-to-end client onboarding and change management service to LGIM’s Institutional Business, supporting the full range of product structures offered by the company. The team is responsible for co-ordinating the take-on/mandate change related tasks and activities across the business to ensure that client mandates are implemented comprehensively and in accordance with the client/ consultant’s funding objective(s).
What you'll be doing:
1. Providing a Project Management service and taking accountability for delivering the Operational elements of events for new and existing fund structures, working closely with partners across the organisation to ensure successful implementation of any new functions transitioned to the team. Also help define the procedures and processes for this function as it transitions to the Client Onboarding team.
2. Project and time managing client work in conjunction with other business areas to achieve the client’s funding objectives in an efficient and timely manner, ensuring that all legal, operational and transitional tasks are comprehensively considered and completed.
3. Providing final quality checks on legal documentation in line with client requirements.
4. Being instrumental in the reviewing and negotiating client service level standards and reporting requirements.
5. Developing a clear understanding of the function of all business areas within LGIM, building and maintaining an effective network of strong working relationships within those areas. Partner with such areas to identify and improve business processes.
6. Acting as an internal ‘implementation consultant’ to the client relationship management team, demonstrating technical ability and understanding and an awareness of the client’s decision-making process and investment objectives.
7. Attending or facilitating (as appropriate) client conference calls and meetings, acting as a business advisor on the requirements for implementing new client mandates and client change, providing progress updates to clients in the spirit of transparency and collaboration.
8. Communicating effectively internally and externally on the progress of client work, holding (where required) regular working group meeting sessions with key stakeholders in order to monitor and manage progress relevant to client change activity. As necessary, attend client meetings and conference calls to discuss and report upon implementation plans and progress.
Qualifications
Who we're looking for:
1. Strong overall Investment knowledge including an understanding of the different investment vehicle options (current investment, market and economic issues).
2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience onboarding international clients, including working with German KvGs. Track record of contributing to and driving business transformation projects.
3. Thorough understanding and appreciation of FCA regulations and internal governance framework.
4. Excellent facilitation and meeting skills, being able to discuss complex/technical concepts.
5. A track record of Project Management success, with the disciplines and experience of Onboarding new clients and client change within an asset management environment. Strong LDI and derivatives knowledge (including the trading and collateral/margin mechanics of OTC and ETD derivatives).
