Job Purpose Summary:
Candidates will be responsible for the end to end management of key accounts including order management, bid processing and driving and maximising revenue in line with Company’s long- and short-term strategic objectives. Place of work will be Catterick with regular travel across UK and Internationally.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
1. Maintain and develop a profitable customer portfolio through appropriate propositions and ethical sales methods by gaining a clear understanding of the customers’ business requirements.
2. Drive the design activity within the account base utilising all the groups resource available.
3. Devise strategies for designated accounts to ensure successful delivery of objectives.
4. Proactively solicit, respond to, qualify and follow up sales enquiries within acceptable timescales, through to landing orders.
5. Commercial ownership of customer relationships and business development within those accounts.
6. Hit or exceed Sales and GP budget assigned.
7. Manage customer dedicated inventory levels in line with company expectations.
8. Work diligently to deliver the highest level of service to our customers.
9. Promote all the products and services that the Group can offer customers to maximise sales.
10. Attend and present at customer meetings including QBR's.
11. Create and report account development strategies and progress.
12. Procure product in accordance with customer requirements and Company guidelines.
13. Liaise internally in order to resolve issues with customers and suppliers including when required any financial issues.
14. Ensure all sales administration is completed to a high standard and in a timely manner.
15. Identify and report market and client trends.
16. Observe competitor activity and gather intelligence.
17. Attend industry functions when required.
18. Represent the company in accordance with our values and in a professional manner at all times.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
1. Great understanding of the Electronics industry / market knowledge and excellent knowledge of electronic components.
2. Proven track record of managing key accounts and developing strategic strategies tailored to those accounts.
3. Ability to succeed in closing of opportunities.
4. Use and or knowledge of VMI offerings.
5. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
6. Successful track record of managing customer accounts and securing new business.
7. Engineering Degree (Desirable but not essential).
