Booth Welsh are working with our of our manufacturing partners to find an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their team.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of production and process equipment.
Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks to minimise downtime.
Respond to maintenance requisitions, prioritising tasks in coordination with the Engineering Manager to optimise equipment uptime.
Participate in the on-call rota as required.
Lead or support engineering projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Liaise with suppliers to enhance service quality and drive cost efficiencies.
Uphold high standards of safety, quality, and housekeeping across your work area.
Ensure compliance with Quality Systems and site-specific safety protocols (COMAH site experience highly desirable).
About You:
Time-served Mechanical Engineer, preferably within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
Minimum of 3 years' experience in an FMCG or GMP-regulated facility.
HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering.
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
Knowledge of pneumatic circuits and ideally some exposure to electrical controls (PLCs, inverters, etc.).
Familiar with electronic maintenance systems (CMMS).
Health & Safety conscious with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Flexible, self-motivated, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
PC literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Must have a full, clean driving licence.

Shift work may be required based on business needs.
Flexibility to work outside of standard hours on occasion.
