Let us tell you a bit about the opportunity
The role of Security Technical Lead is really important to us. You will work as part of a service-focused team to deliver Security Engineering services and support to meet the Business needs across the Aldermore Group, working closely with the other members of the Information Security team, Infrastructure and wider teams across Technology.
You will be responsible for ensuring our solutions are regularly reviewed, to meet the current and future needs of the Business. Including maintaining the technical currency (i.e. remains it within vendor support) and adhering to Aldermore Group’s security and data standards.
We are seeking an experienced Security Technical Lead, to join our Information Security Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Security engineers at a technical level, driving the implementation of solutions, ensuring that security best practices are embedded into our products, platforms, and infrastructure. You will collaborate with various engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable, efficient solutions while maintaining a strong focus on emerging threats and vulnerabilities.
What will your day look like?
* Security Engineering Management - Provide Leadership, Mentorship, and Technical direction to Junior Staff and Team members and be an individual contributor to the assessment of their roles. Act as a Consultant for Infrastructure and other Technical Teams ensuring best practices. Provide detailed reports for Senior Leadership / Stakeholders on security posture, incidents and metrics.
* Security and Compliance - Perform routine audits to ensure compliance with internal security policies, as well as external regulatory requirements. Deploy and manage security features such as Privileged Access Management (CyberArk), Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and Cloud Apps. Stay current with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities and trends. Lead efforts to assess, mitigate risks across systems and services.
* Automation, Scripting, Documentation and Reporting - Develop reporting, to maintain scripts and automation tools for Sentinel. Automate routine administrative tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention. Maintain detailed documentation of Security System configurations, processes and troubleshooting steps. Generate and review system performance reports plus recommend improvements.
* Troubleshooting and Support - Support and administer the Security Engineering Infrastructure, related technologies, resolving incidents, proactively managing problems and providing escalation support for complex technical issues. Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve cross-functional issues affecting infrastructure and services.
* As part of the wider Security Engineering team, provide Out Of Hours support and be on-call as required.
What do we expect from you?
* Strong knowledge of Network, Application, Cloud security and Endpoint protection.
* Understanding of security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and SOC 2 is preferred.
* Familiarity with scripting and automation to develop security processes, improving efficiency and reduce manual efforts.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
* Strong knowledge of M365 Microsoft Defender panel and CyberArk solutions.
* Experience in designing, implementing Security tooling, consolidations and upgrades.
