Our client is looking for a senior electrical design engineer to join their MEICA water team in London/Kent on a contract basis OUTSIDE IR35.
Working as part of a busy team within the Southern Department of the Water Business Unit, you will be reporting to the MEICA Team Manager, delivering outline electrical design and detailed specifications primarily for Water and Wastewater schemes.
You will also work closely with other disciplines and electrical engineering staff from across the wider Water Business Unit in the UK. They are currently looking for a talented and motivated Electrical Engineer to join their team. In this role you’ll be responsible for:
1. Providing day-to-day technical input suitable for the role as part of a team of Engineers and Technicians.
2. Undertaking tasks assigned by the team leader to support design delivery.
3. Providing regular feedback of progress to the team leader to assist in the management of delivery and ensure that project delivery meets the client’s objectives and requirements.
4. Ensuring tasks are carried out and completed in accordance with the agreed scope of works, timescales, and budgets.
5. Working to establish Company systems as set out within the Integrated Management Systems (IMS).
6. Being trained and familiar with the latest Wiring Regulations.
7. Undertaking elements or tasks for outline designs and detailed specification of electrical works.
8. Assisting team members with consultation with stakeholders.
9. Liaising with team members, clients, and other disciplines to work together to deliver project requirements.
Requirements for Electrical Design Engineer:
1. Knowledge and experience of electrical design for the water industry.
2. Ability to work with engineers from all disciplines and other water industry professionals to optimise and develop bespoke, ‘value for money’ and innovative designs.
3. Experience in the delivery of water designs and specifications on water-related projects for Water Companies, Contractors, and industry.
4. Appreciation of the implications of works on the environment and knowledge of sustainable solutions.
5. Appreciation of water and wastewater processes.
6. Appreciation of health and safety legislation.
7. Professional Membership and Qualifications:
8. Degree or Masters in Electrical Engineering.
9. Chartership with a suitable professional body.
