About the role
An opportunity has arisen within RWG Advanced Remanufacturing Business for a Process Support Operator. The successful candidate will be based at Dyce, Aberdeen and will report to the Department Supervisor. The primary function will be preparation of components for coating/refinishing and assistance of the repair processes for the repair and overhaul of gas generator components. Additional functions include the preventative maintenance and operation of blast equipment and associated plant, ovens, degreasing equipment and spray booths.

An overview of your day
* The successful candidate will be based primarily in the paint shop.
* This position requires a candidate who can adapt to various duties from masking, cleaning, metal polishing, blasting, working with chemicals in preparation of parts prior to inspection, forklift and pallet track duties and any other suitable task allocated by Supervisor.
* Organise own workload whilst ensuring workshop remains organised and efficient.
* Preventative Maintenance and operation of blast equipment and associated plant and ovens.
* Maintain good housekeeping in work areas and perform other related or comparable duties as assigned (5’s).
* The successful candidate would need to be available to work shift patterns (including night shift).
* Ability to work overtime and swap shifts at short notice for production/customer requirements.
What we need from you
* Experience in a similar role or workshop/practical work experience would be advantageous but not essential as training will be provided.
* Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
* A good knowledge of HS&E procedures & COSHH assessments, etc.
* Grit blasting, surface preparation for coating application and masking experience would be beneficial however training will be provided.
