An opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Manager to join the team at our Tamworth site.
The Maintenance Manager will direct and lead the site engineering team of nine, responsible for all proactive and reactive maintenance and site machine and facility on a large-scale 24/5 manufacturing operation.
Key responsibilities will include:
1. To provide the technical and management leadership to the site’s engineering team of mechanical, electrical engineers, and apprentices.
2. Accountable for site asset availability ensuring asset plans are maintained for all site equipment. Use asset availability and scrap due to poor reliability measures to identify performance gaps and develop gap closure plans using tools such as planned preventative maintenance, asset care plans, predictive maintenance, and RCA.
3. Responsible for all site fixed and variable productions costs due to maintenance including development and control of annual budget and managing and reporting on actual spend to budget, more than £1 million.
4. Support delivery of site capital plan inclusive of identifying opportunities for investment which will deliver measurable improvement, proposing annual CAPEX plan for approval, scoping out and submitting individual capital investment cases including scope, costs, return on investment, delivering capital projects from cradle to grave inclusive of post project review.
5. HSE elements inclusive of permit to work, control of contractors. Regulatory requirements including but not limited to PUWER, lock out tag out, control of legionella, LOLER, F-gas, gas safe, electrical safety.
6. Develop and drive department performance KPI’s with tangible benefits. Coach and support team to deliver department plans.
