We are currently looking for a Facilities and Estates Operative to join our team. As a Facilities and Estates Operative at Together Housing, you will be responsible for assisting and supporting in the successful delivery of a customer-oriented and effective Cleaning & Waste Management Service. You will ensure that all internal and external communal areas are left clean, safe, and attractive for our customers by using a combination of hand tools, power tools, and chemical agents when required. You will also undertake minor repairs to communal properties, gardens, and the wider estate, and address any customer inquiries promptly and effectively.

Outline of key responsibilities for the Facilities and Estates Operative...
1. Carry out routine cleaning of all internal and external communal areas, ensuring these areas are left clean, safe, and attractive for our customers; using a combination of hand tools, power tools, and chemical agents when required.
2. Assist in the removal of graffiti and fly-tipped waste on the organisation's land when required.
3. Undertake a range of minor repairs to communal properties, gardens, and the wider estate including planned deep cleaning. Ensure that access footpaths are kept free from hazards and/or obstructions.
4. Adaptability and flexibility, responsible for working in service areas across the team as required, cleaning, waste & house removals, and general duties associated with estate management.
5. Follow THG's Health & Safety Policy at all times.
6. Operate all machinery and equipment in a safe and correct manner using all safety devices and practices.
7. Liaise with customers during work, actively seeking their feedback on services provided, and ensuring high levels of service and customer care are delivered in accordance with THG policies and procedures, while fully considering their needs.
8. Carry out administrative tasks associated with the post, e.g., updating systems when required.

1. Full Manual UK Driving License
2. Practical experience of cleaning or caretaking
3. Practical knowledge of and ability to operate Cleaning and Waste equipment and machinery
4. Experience working in a customer-oriented environment
5. A good standard of literacy and numeracy to enable accurate record keeping
