The school has 37 acres of pitches, parkland and play areas and beautiful views across to the Clwydian hills, an area of outstanding natural beauty.
We are seeking to appoint two dynamic individuals to assist in the running of either of our boarding houses of international pupils (Year groups 5-10 and Year groups 11-13). You will be responsible to the House Parent and Head of Boarding; accommodation and term-time meals will be provided. You will have at least two years' experience as a live-in part of a boarding team and be willing to work weekends on a rota basis. The position is paid on the Myddelton College pay scale and depends on qualifications and experience.
You will have the opportunity to join in fully with the life of the school and your covering letter should state how you would intend to do this. Alongside high academic expectations we have an excellent Learning Through The Outdoors programme, an active music department, a CCF unit and we run all levels of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. We run a full programme of extra-curriculum activities and sports teams. We would also be interested to hear from candidates with EAL, ALN or Teaching Assistant qualifications.
One Assistant House Parent will also be our Well-Being and Healthcare Assistant and would be responsible for overseeing First Aid and Mental Health First Aid across the school.
Primarily though we are looking for a hard-working individual who is organised, enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the needs of our wonderful group of international high-achieving boarders.
