We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Operational Coordinator to join our MSK Division at Colchester Hospital.
As a Senior Operational Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing Leadership to the administrative teams and ensuring that a high quality comprehensive administrative service is delivered.
The Senior Operational Coordinator will be accountable for monitoring, assessing and reporting on performance within defined service areas. This will involve highlighting any issues to the General Manager and identifying appropriate action to be taken. The Senior Operational Coordinator will also be required to attend all relevant performance meetings with their General Manager.

Please note, this a Fixed Term/Secondment until 31st December 2025. Internal candidates will be offered a secondment only.
Main duties of the job
In conjunction with General Manager and Service Manager the Senior Operational Coordinator will provide operational management support for designated departments/services.
The Senior Operational Coordinator will provide leadership to and motivate Operational Coordinators, Team Leaders and administrative teams within their designated departments/services to deliver and improve services so meeting patient needs and support the day to day line management of administrative teams within their Clinical Delivery Group as required.

Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
* Management/Business/Administration degree or proven management experience at equivalent level.
* Leadership courses/qualification or commitment to work towards.
Knowledge Essential
* Knowledge of performance management.
* Understanding of risk management/governance/complaint processes and how these contribute to quality delivery and patient satisfaction.
Desirable
* NHS IT systems.
Experience Essential
* Previous experience of managing staff.
