Commencing: Start date : 6th January 2025 We are looking for an experienced part-time Patient Pathway Co-ordinator to join our friendly Trauma & Orthopaedic department based at St Helier Hospital. The post holders will support the provision of the highest quality patient care through dedicated administrative and clerical support and continuous improvement. Based in a specialty clinical team at St Helier Hospital, the post holder will be the point of contact for all administrative and clerical issues relating to patients' pathway of care, tracking and supporting them from referral to treatment and discharge. The post holder will ensure high levels of patient care and will ensure clinician satisfaction by being an accessible, customer focused and knowledgeable point of contact. Main duties of the job Trauma & Orthopaedic Patient Pathway Coordinator Band 4 We have an exciting opportunity for an exceptional candidate to join the Epsom & St Helier's Trauma & Orthopaedic administrative team. You will be responsible for maintaining surgery waiting lists and booking patients for their procedure in priority order. You will ensure that theatre lists are booked at least 4 weeks in advanced and are fully utilised. You will be expected to engage with your consultant to ensure list planning is accurate. You will book pre-op assessment appointment prior to booking surgery admission. You will be responsible for monitoring your consultant and registrars annual leave, cancelling theatres lists as necessary if your consultant is on leave. You will be responsible for ensuring the surgery waiting list data is completed accurately on ipm. Based in T & O, the post holder will be the point of contact for all administrative and clerical issues relating to a patient's pathway whilst under the orthopaedic services care, tracking and booking orthopaedic surgical procedures. The post holder will ensure high levels of patient care and will ensure clinician satisfaction by being an accessible, customer focused and knowledgeable point of contact. They must ideally have iPM and iCM experience.
