Job Description:
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated graduates who are interested in pursuing a long-term career supporting children. As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our students' educational and personal development. This is an excellent opportunity for those looking to gain valuable experience and skills in a supportive and rewarding environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide tailored support to students with a range of SEN, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and other learning difficulties.
* Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and work closely with classroom teachers to adapt lessons and resources to meet the needs of SEN students.
* Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting the social and emotional well-being of all students.
* Support students in developing their independence, self-esteem, and social skills.
* Collaborate with the SENCo (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) and other staff members to monitor and track student progress.
* Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your understanding and skills in SEN support.
Requirements:
* Have a completed bachelor's degree (any subject background)
* A genuine passion for working with children and making a positive impact on their lives.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Patience, empathy, and resilience.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Eager to gain experience working with children or individuals with SEN (or already have experience - desirable but not essential).
