The Head of Financial Reporting is responsible for delivering core financial controls, providing technical accounting advice and producing GIAAs Financial Statements and contributing to all Finance aspects of GIAAs Annual Report and Accounts (ARA). The role-holder will offer accounting advice and work with colleagues and National Audit Office (NAO) to agree accounting treatments as well as be the lead GIAA contact for NAO on the annual Interim and Final audits. The role-holder will also be lead contact for Internal Audit for any finance audits on the GIAA Internal audit plan. The role-holder will be responsible for ensuring the appropriate financial controls are in place to ensure GIAA follows best practice, ensuring value for money and minimising the risk of fraud, reporting to Audit Risk and Assurance Committee where appropriate. The role-holder will oversee a team of four who are responsible for core financial processes including raising invoices for customers, requisitioning, and the interaction with the Shared Services team in HM Treasury.
