Software Developer Placement – Linea Research Based: Letchworth Garden City, Hertfordshire Type: Full-time, 12-month Placement Salary: £23500 pa Linea Research are offering a unique opportunity for a student to join our Windows Software Development team for their placement year. This is a hands-on programming position and would suit students with a passion for problem solving who are looking to enhance their skills from within a team of recognised professionals. Projects in the Software Department are very varied, ranging from creating new functionality in our existing products to totally stand-alone applications, automated testing being an example. We also want to enhance our Cloud integration to better administer critical things like software updates both with our main Windows application and the networks of connected products. This placement is designed not only to provide you with hands-on experience, but also to immerse you in the ethos of innovation Candidate Profile We are searching for a student who is not only passionate about technology, but also eager to make a discernible impact in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment. Key Skills: Currently enrolled in an undergraduate course in Computer Science or a related field. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. A keen eye for UX/UI design Desirable Skills: A basic understanding of WPF Some familiarity with C# A desire to learn about audio, and the technologies surrounding it.
