Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated History Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Preston for a full-time temporary position. This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding individual to make a real impact and shape a role within the school whilst joining an already strong and high performing department. We are looking for a candidate who will motivate, challenge and inspire students to be the best that they can be; someone who is enthusiastic, has high expectations and is committed to the distinctive ethos of our school. Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver engaging and effective History lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
2. Prepare and plan lessons that meet curriculum objectives.
3. Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
4. Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
5. Work collaboratively with colleagues and support the development of students' academic and personal growth.
The Ideal Candidate:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
2. A passion for History and teaching.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Previous teaching experience is preferred, but not essential.
