What you will do in your working day
* Support learning in classroom
* Lesson preparation (administrative - e.g. photocopying)
* Helping to manage classroom environment (resources and displays)
* Accompanying groups of children;
* Maintaining a positive environment for all learning;
* Supporting pupils with SEND to access learning on a 1:1 or group basis;
* Supporting assessment and evidencing learning.
The training you will be getting
Qualification:
* Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard in Teaching Assistant
* Functional Skills Level 2 in English and Maths (if required)
End-Point Assessment (EPA):
* Portfolio based interview
* Practical observation
Delivery Method
* Every other week (Friday PM)
* Online portfolio to update with learning and development completed onsite
* Diarised visits from dedicated Trainer/Assessor
What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship
Although there is no guaranteed role at the end of the apprenticeship there will be support available to secure employment as a TA elsewhere if necessary.
