We are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant who has the desire to promote a love of learning and the belief that every child will succeed.
This support work will be a blend of supporting a pupil on a 1:1 basis and supporting small groups of children, both in and out of the classrooms or on the playground at break and lunchtime alongside supporting members of the teaching staff.
We are fortunate to have wonderful, respectful pupils who are willing to learn in our well-resourced school and our beautiful spacious school site.
We would like our successful candidate to be post from after February half term or as close to this time as possible.

Our new Teaching Assistant will be based in one year group but may also be timetabled to work across different classes and different year groups in the school.
The core duties of this role, whilst working within established guidelines to support the teacher are:
1. Supporting a pupil with an Educational Health Care Plan
2. Ensuring all pupils are safe and safeguarding procedures are followed
3. Supporting the teaching and learning of the planned curriculum
4. Effective use of resources
5. Supporting learning in the classroom either in small groups or on a 1:1 basis and leading intervention groups
6. Providing supervision at break and lunchtime either on the playground or in the dining room
7. Maintaining a welcoming classroom environment, encouraging pupils to work independently
8. Meeting regularly with the class teacher to plan work and raise/resolve concerns
9. Closely monitor and track pupils' progress in line with school procedure
10. Undertake any tasks as directed by the Deputy Head Teacher/SENDCo or Head Teacher which fall within the limits of the post
11. Can use technology (such as computers and iPads) to support with admin tasks, undertake online training and enhance learning

3. Have a good level of English and Maths Skills which is essential

6. Be positive, enthusiastic, committed and self-motivated

10. Have strong time management skills
11. Have a strong personality to manage possible behaviour issues
