What is the purpose of this job?
This role is to project manage several workstreams, as part of the wider Traincrew Programme. To help deliver improvements to how the industry manages and delivers traincrew resourcing. Focusing on the delivery of workstreams to help the industry achieve the long term driver strategy. To support the subject matter experts in ensuring the outputs of the project are delivered on time, on budget, and in line with industry requirements.

Salary Scale- £46,359-£55,000 per annum
What can I expect to do in this job?
* Develop a plan to deliver the requirements of a traincrew workstreams, in line with industry requirements
* Management of delivery to the plan in line with the identified project plan
* Project monitoring and tracking of activity, risks and issues in line with RDG project governance
* Identify key stakeholders for the project in line with the Traincrew Programme's stakeholder and communications plan
* Work with project stakeholders to ensure adequate development and adoption of project outputs
* Coordinating and attending working group and steering group sessions
* Provide regular written and verbal reports back to the relevant governance and stakeholder groups
This role is accountable for successfully project management of the Traincrew workstreams. The role aims to put the structures in place for the project to meet its objectives and crucially delivers the benefits it sets out to achieve. The role is in part accountable for the realisation of these benefits, in partnership with the programme lead and the recipients of the change.

* Passenger Train Operator representative- leads for implementing and using tools created by project
* Network Rail leads for implementing and using tools created by the project
* 3rd party industry suppliers
* Other industry programme stakeholders
This is a cross industry role that should be able to work with senior leaders to front line staff.
Requirements
What experience, skills and knowledge do I need?
We are looking for someone with a proven track record on the management of programmes/projects qualified with relevant system such as Prince2 or MSProject and ideally someone who has rail industry experience, but not essential.
Some of the sort of specific skills and knowledge we are looking for include:
* Projects and programmes management and associated methodology
* Good communication skills both verbal and written
* Experience in producing high-quality change management tools and delivering these successfully
* Ability to work with, and influence, appropriate stakeholders to ensure commitment and alignment
* Dynamic, team player who is also a self-starter
* Ability to manage a diverse and complex stakeholder group, over varying roles and functions
* Effective at partnering with others to plan, develop and deliver effective change interventions
