Job title: Fundraising Officer (Individual Giving and Community Fundraising)
Responsible to: Head of Communications and Fundraising
Background to The Brain Charity
Life for any of us can change in an instant. Experiencing a road traffic accident, a major stroke or being diagnosed with dementia can happen unexpectedly and can change our lives forever.
There are hundreds of different neurological conditions including stroke, brain tumour, brain injury, Alzheimer’s and many rarer conditions.
Role summary
The Brain Charity’s Fundraising Officer (Individual Giving and Community Fundraising) is responsible for generating and maximising income from our supporters in the community – including challenge fundraisers, individual donors and ‘in memory of’ supporters.
Most people who financially support The Brain Charity, whether by donating, taking on a fundraising challenge or attending one of our events, have a strong personal connection to our cause – many may have been bereaved, or faced their own experience of how neurological conditions can impact lives.
You will be responsible for nurturing our relationship with our fundraisers and donors by taking them through a seamless, personalised and integrated journey so they feel valued by the organisation and are more likely to support us again in future.
