Reporting to the Finance Manager your duties will consist of: Oversee the preparation and analysis of accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies in financial reporting processes. Coordinate the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, ensuring adherence to reporting timelines and accuracy of financial information. Perform financial analysis, variance analysis, and trend analysis to identify key drivers of financial performance and communicate insights to management. Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data, validate assumptions, and provide inputs for financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes. Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation, explanations, and ensuring compliance with audit requirements. Develop and maintain financial reporting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security. Stay updated with changes in accounting regulations, standards, and reporting requirements, and implement necessary adjustments in financial reporting processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement system enhancements, automate financial reporting processes, and improve efficiency. Qualifications Essential to the role A professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA or ACA is preferred. Desirable Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP), and regulatory requirements. At least 3 years of experience in financial reporting to a Group and within the Company. Skills Proficiency in financial reporting tools and systems. Experience with ERP systems is a plus. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data, identify trends, and provide insights. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications. Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in financial reporting and analysis. Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Qualities Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
