* Operating wide format printers and finishing equipment to produce various items using multiple devices and software.
* Visiting other University sites as required to meet customers and assess the work required.
* Operating high-volume digital print machines & finishing equipment to print various types of documents including University Examination papers and additions, meeting tight deadlines, solving problems and ensuring they are printed accurately and to the highest standard and kept secure.
* Maintaining machinery and resolving minor breakdowns, problem solving errors and calling out service engineers as required.
* Liaising with customers on a daily basis, advising them on the best possible printing solutions, face to face, over the phone and via e-mail.
* Laying out a variety items for both print and digital use using Adobe Creative Cloud.
* Processing internal and external invoices for customers into the University's Finance System and taking card payments.
You can demonstrate experience of using wide-format printers.
* You have experience in the use of high-volume printers and related software.
* As well as these you have experience in the use of print finishing equipment.
* You have experience of maintaining print machinery and be able to solve minor breakdowns.
* The ability to work as part of a small team and be able to work on your own initiative, prioritising work as required.
* You must have good communication skills and be able to stay calm when dealing with difficult customers.
* You should have experience in graphic design using software such as Adobe InDesign and Illustrator.
