Area Sales Manager
Location: South East – primarily field-based
Salary: £45k to £50k DOE plus uncapped bonus
Benefits: Uncapped bonus, company car
Full Time: Permanent
We are looking for an experienced Area Sales Manager with strong business development skills to join our client’s UK team. Based in the South East, the ASM will manage existing customer relationships while actively pursuing new opportunities. Our client is an international product manufacturer renowned for crafting precision-engineered hardware solutions that enhance furniture and home-improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain and nurture daily customer relationships.
* Effectively manage time and prioritise visits to maximise profitable sales.
* Collaborate with the Internal Sales Team to process orders and ensure exceptional customer service.
* Leverage deep product knowledge and client needs to identify and develop new business opportunities.
* Analyse market trends to identify competitive advantages and implement strategic growth plans.
Key Skills
* Proven sales and business development professional with a minimum of four years’ experience.
* Strong commercial awareness and a growth-oriented mindset.
* Ability to acquire, retain, and apply technical knowledge to support customers effectively.
* Essential experience in supplying goods to B2B customers; B2C experience is advantageous.
* Prior knowledge of the furniture fittings market is preferred but not essential. Distributors or similar line of products - kitchen, bathroom, sinks, baths, taps, doors, glass, wood chipboard, paint, glue, sealant, etc...
* Collaborative team player, capable of working within a multinational team to deliver outstanding customer service.
* Trustworthy, with integrity, initiative, and a proactive approach.
* Open-minded and eager to learn.
* Highly proficient in IT; experience with SalesForce or similar CRM systems is beneficial.
* Self-motivated, creative, and independent, with a positive and proactive attitude.
* Excellent at building and maintaining strong customer relationships.
