Job Summary:
As a Health Care Assistant with Care Plus Recruit Ltd, you will support the delivery of high-quality care to service users across various care homes. You’ll work collaboratively with senior staff to ensure service users' needs are met with respect, compassion, and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver personal care and support in a person-centered manner, following directions from senior staff.
Understand and implement individual care and support plans.
Foster independence, encouraging service users to maintain their skills and abilities in daily activities.
Assist with getting service users up in the morning and settling them at night.
Provide assistance with washing, bathing, showering, dressing, and grooming.
Aid in managing service users’ personal hygiene, including toileting and continence care.
Support nutritional and cultural dietary needs, ensuring meal times are pleasant and fulfilling.
Help maintain a clean, safe, and positive environment for service users and staff.
Perform cleaning tasks and adhere to scheduled cleaning duties to ensure a hygienic setting.
Use manual handling equipment safely and adhere to best practices.
Develop effective communication and working relationships with service users, their families, and professionals.
Encourage and assist service users to maintain social connections with family and friends.
Accompany service users on community outings as needed.
Act as a Key Worker for assigned service users, providing individualized support and advocacy.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 6 months of experience in healthcare or social care preferred; however, applicants with less experience will also be considered.
- Compassionate, respectful, and committed to delivering high-quality care.
- Ability to work in a team and develop effective working relationships.
- Reliable and able to follow established care plans and routines.
- Flexibility to work various shifts and adapt to different care home environments.
