Removals Duties
1. You will be responsible for driving the vehicle and crew to the designated address, and supporting the Crew with removals duties, including packing, loading and unloading the vehicle.
2. You will need to be physically fit in order to pack, carry, load/unload the vehicle and dismantle/reassemble furniture.
3. You must be willing to work unsocial hours at times, including some nights away. You need to hold a valid passport as some of our moves include a collection/delivery in mainland Europe.
4. You are required to behave in a polite and professional manner at all times in this customer-facing role and should have strong communication skills to talk with your customers and colleagues.
5. It is essential that you are reliable, flexible and punctual as move day schedules are vital and can be stressful for the customer.
6. Ensure all removals paperwork is completed correctly and submitted in a timely manner.
7. Maintain regular communication with the Office.
8. Wear company uniform at all times and PPE when collecting or delivering to customers and other sites
9. You will need your own transport as you will be departing from/returning to the local depot.
Driving Requirements
10. Complete daily vehicle checks and vehicle defect sheet and report defects to Office
11. Ensure all loads are safely secured and that there is no risk of waste or debris falling from your vehicle trailer or container
12. Load and unload the vehicle adhering to safe working practices and complete risk assessments as required
13. Fuel the vehicle and ensure it is clean externally and internally to required standards
14. Ensure your vehicle and trailer is kept in a safe, serviceable and clean condition
15. Present Tachograph card for downloading on a weekly basis
16. Report accidents and incidents immediately to the Transport Manager
17. Comply with all company, UK and European Safety and Driving Regulations.
18. Drivers must provide proof of DCPC.

20. 3.5t Driver rates start at £20,000 basic or up to £24,500 per annum for those with removals experience.
21. HGV2 Driver rates start at £28,52000 gross per annum rising to £31k for drivers with removals experience.
22. You can earn on average an additional £3-4000 per year (gross) in night out allowances and average overtime earnings.

Essential requirements
32. HGV Drivers must have min 1 years HGV driving experience, up to date DCPC and a Digi Tacho Card
33. Must have or be willing to obtain a valid Passport
34. Must be willing to work unsocial hours and nights away
35. Must be physically fit in order to pack, lift and load/ unload the vehicle, dismantle and reassemble household furniture
