Job Description
* Job Title: Laboratory Chemist
* Job Type:Permanent
* Location: Bacton
* Hours: 22.5 hours – 3 days per week
We are seeking a dedicated Laboratory Chemist to join our team at our Shell site in Bacton. In this role, you'll work in our analytical laboratory, where you'll perform sampling and analysis while maintaining the high standards required for our accredited processes. Your attention to detail will be essential as you prepare laboratory procedures and documentation to ensure all test data is entered accurately into our IT systems.
Collaboration is key to our success, fostering strong working relationships with colleagues and other teams. As part of our commitment to safety and quality, you'll report any Quality or Health and Safety concerns to the Laboratory Team Leader and log these issues in the company’s quality system.

Qualifications
How to be a successful candidate
* Must be computer literate in use of word and excel.
* Must have a sound knowledge of chemistry, analytical equipment and methods.
* Degree level in chemistry or related science based subject or equivalent.
* Experience gained in an analytical testing laboratory.
* Operating to defined laboratory methods, processes and documentation.
* An appreciation of production chemistry.
* Experience gained in an oilfield testing laboratory.
* Experience of working within a UKAS accredited laboratory.
* Preparation of laboratory techniques and documentation.
* Full, current, valid UK driving licence.
