About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated and dynamic Account Executive to join our team. This role is crucial to our growth strategy and offers an exciting opportunity to work directly with key retail clients, building strong partnerships, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring exceptional service delivery. As an Account Executive, you will manage a portfolio of accounts, actively pursue new business, and represent DSL at trade shows, meetings, and industry events to promote our offerings.
Key Responsibilities
* Account Management: Develop, manage, and strengthen relationships with key accounts, acting as their main point of contact and ensuring their needs are met. Proactively identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts.
* Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the petrol forecourt, convenience, and retail store sectors. This includes prospecting, networking, and attending industry events to build a pipeline of potential clients.
* Sales Strategy: Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to design and implement strategies that drive growth, enhance brand visibility, and maximize revenue.
* Administration & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of client interactions, sales activities, and forecasts in CRM systems. Produce accurate and timely reports for management to aid in decision-making and business strategy adjustments.
* Market Research: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitors, and customer needs to adjust strategies and maintain DSL’s competitive edge.
* Event Representation: Attend trade shows, exhibitions, and industry meetings to showcase DSL’s product range, conduct live demonstrations, and engage with prospective clients.
* Customer Service: Serve as an advocate for key accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing any concerns, troubleshooting issues, and regularly checking in on client success with our solutions.
What We’re Looking For
* Experience: Proven background in key account management or business development, preferably within the retail, POS, or promotional solutions industry. Experience working with large retail chains or independent stores is a strong advantage.
* Strong Administrative Skills: Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple client accounts, meetings, and deadlines effectively. You must be comfortable using CRM systems and producing reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
* Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and negotiate effectively with decision-makers at all levels.
* Strategic Thinker: Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop strategies that align with client needs and company goals. Comfortable using data to inform decision-making.
* Results-Oriented: Driven to meet and exceed sales targets, with a proactive, self-motivated attitude. You should thrive in a fast-paced, target-focused environment.
* Flexibility: Willingness to travel regularly to meet clients and attend events, including occasional overnight stays.
* Tech Savvy: Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office suite, with the ability to quickly learn and use sales tools and platforms.
