Job summary This is a full time substantive consultant appointment for a general radiologist with an interest in breast imaging. The post will be based at the West Middlesex site. The 10 PA contract comprises 8.5 DCC sessions and up to 1.5 SPA sessions. The successful candidate will have access to secretarial/administrator support from the Imaging department administrative/PA team. They will also have access to dedicated working office space within the radiology department where they will be able to base themselves and be part of the wider radiology team. Other sessions will be dedicated to mammography, breast ultrasound and US-guided biopsies. The successful candidate will also be expected to partake in the breast one stop clinic and breast MDT. There is scope to support the vacuum assisted breast biopsy emerging service. The new appointee will participate in the diagnostic on call rota covering the WM site. The proposed job plan will be subject to change to allow for any future extended 7-day service requirement and provision of services across the entire Trust.
