Purpose of the role
1. To operate and maintain static plant to the required standard to ensure safe and efficient operation of the Quarry in meeting its production requirements and ensuring high production and product quality standards are achieved and maintained.
2. To maintain a clean and presentable site.
3. To be part of an enthusiastic, self-motivated and well organised team.
4. To provide assistance to the General Foreman and Plant operative as and when required to ensure safe operation of the quarry.
Key Accountability
1. To ensure that the company Health and Safety Policy, Local Managers Rules and all Risk Assessments and Method Statements relating to work or works under your control are complied with and maintained.
2. To liaise closely with work colleagues, Quarry Manager, General Foreman, Suppliers and Contractors to ensure the smooth and efficient running of Static plant and processing operation.
3. To provide preventative maintenance in an efficient and cost effective manner. To communicate effectively with the General foreman and weighbridge to ensure efficient running of the plant.
4. Maintain a clean and presentable site.
5. Operate mobile plant as and when required to provide cover for other members of staff.
6. To competently perform other duties as required for cover of other operatives, in accordance with all company procedures and requirements. Or as required by the site management.
7. To maintain competency through training and experience as required and as determined by Hanson.
8. To identify, develop and implement improvements to the sustainability and efficient operation of the site.
