Support Worker for Adults Experiencing Homelessness

Pay: £12.50 per hour
We're looking for a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team, providing essential support to adults who are experiencing homelessness in Bath. This temporary position offers the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals during a crucial period of their recovery and transition.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-on-one support to adults facing homelessness, helping them to access accommodation, welfare support, and other services.
* Offer emotional and practical support to individuals as they work through their challenges.
* Work collaboratively with other services, including housing providers, social services, and health teams, to ensure individuals receive holistic care.
* Maintain accurate records and case notes in line with policy and best practice.
* Encourage independence and empower individuals to achieve their goals.
Ideal Candidate:
* Previous experience in social care, support work, or a related field is preferred, though training will be provided.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a non-judgmental approach.
* Empathy and the ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and with various support needs.
* A proactive attitude and a commitment to supporting others through difficult times.
* An understanding of the challenges faced by people experiencing homelessness.
