SEN Teacher Location: Meldreth, Cambridgeshire/Hertfordshire border Salary: £31,650 - £49,084 (M1-UPS3) Hours: permanent, full-time (40 hours per week) School Staffing Solutions is recruiting for an IQM awarded, independent, specialist day school dedicated to providing a highly personalised learning environment for students aged 6 to 19 with a range of complex needs, including Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD), Moderate Learning Disabilities (MLD), Severe Learning Disabilities (SLD), autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, and other associated difficulties. Many of the students also have medical needs and sensory or physical impairments. Their approach is tailored to help students manage sensory overload, anxiety, low self-esteem, and challenges with transitions, often reflected in their behaviour. The Role: As an SEN Teacher you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, engaging learning, within a meaningful and individualised curriculum designed to challenge and stretch all learners in your class. What We're Looking For: PGCE, QTS, or equivalent teaching qualification with evidence of ongoing professional development (essential). A solid understanding of the Teacher Standards and expectations. Experience or knowledge of SEN, particularly sensory-led curriculums. Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with others. Attention to detail in assessing, recording, and reporting progress. Leadership skills, with the ability to guide and support other adults in the classroom.
