We are looking for a CASS Audit Senior / Supervisor to join our team at Johnston Carmichael.
We are flexible on location within the UK.
Job Purpose:
Our specialist CASS team operates within our Financial Services division, one of JC's fastest-growing business areas. We serve a diverse client base across the UK, ranging from start-ups to FTSE 250 companies. The team is led by Gillian Boston, a member of the ICAEW Financial Services Faculty CASS working group and a committee member of the Scottish CASS Forum.
We are seeking an Audit Senior or Supervisor to oversee audit tasks, identify and communicate issues to the Audit Senior Manager proactively, ensure deadlines and budgets are adhered to, and present a well-prepared audit file for review that meets high standards.
The CASS Audit Senior / Supervisor will be responsible for (but not limited to):
* Contact for clients on day-to-day matters, from planning through to completion of assignments
* Supporting team members ensuring deadlines and demands are met by the wider client engagement team, providing feedback as and when required
* Preparing and monitoring budgets and issuing client fees
* Maintaining an up-to-date technical knowledge for statutory and CASS audits, and related FCA regulations
* Ensuring internal and external expectations are achieved, including supporting the leadership team in setting and delivering strategic targets
* Supporting opportunities to promote the business in the marketplace
* Contributing to new opportunities and securing new work, with the support of the wider senior management team and Business Development team
* Building effective working relationships with clients and staff at all levels
* Acting as an ambassador for the firm
About You:
* CA qualified or equivalent. Those close to being fully qualified can be considered
* Strong industry and technical knowledge ideally within wealth and investment management
* Relevant experience ideally in a practice setting
* A leader of your work and your professional learning
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to positively impact and influence others at all levels
