Overview Job Title: Associate or Senior Associate Location: Manchester Contract Type: Permanent (Part-Time & Full-Time Options Available) Work pattern: Hybrid Salary Range: to £65,000 Reports to: Partner Experience Required: Catastrophic or Complex Multitrack EL/PL or RTA Claims. Both Defendant and Claimant experience welcomed. Candidate profile / background The exact nature and level As a guide, the following experience would be preferred: Experience in handling Catastrophic or multi track Injury, RTA, or EL/PL claims, either from a claimant or defendant background would be beneficial. Though candidates with lower-level multi track experience will also be considered. Ability to analyse complex evidence and develop strategic legal solutions. Excellent communication, drafting, and case management skills. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously or under the supervision of a Partner depending on level of PQE The recruiting Partner is happy to speak to a broad range of candidates including those with claimant or defendant experience. A varied role with a fantastic mix of work This role offers you the chance to work on catastrophic injury claims related to road traffic accidents (RTA) and employer liability (EL) or public liability (PL) cases all the way from inception through to setting case strategy and then litigation and / or settlement. The successful candidate’s duties will include: Assisting the Partner in handling high-value, complex catastrophic injury cases. Analysing quantum evidence, medical records, and liability evidence, ensuring accurate evaluation and strategy planning. Drafting comprehensive legal advice, including reserves, indemnity, liability, quantum, and causation issues. Conducting witness interviews, preparing statements, and attending mediations, JSMs, and conferences. Proactively manage assigned cases with a reserve value up to £500,000. Collaborate on all aspects of a case, from initial analysis to final resolution, supporting the Partner in setting strategy and achieving successful outcomes.
