Job Elements
1. The IT Support Engineer is responsible for supporting a manufacturing site of about 80 employees for all things IT.
2. This is a 12 month contract with occasional travel to other company offices.
3. To diagnose and resolve software and hardware incidents, including operating systems and across a range of software applications (SAP, Microsoft Windows, Office 365, Android, iOS)
4. To take ownership of issues by carrying out problem analysis to implement temporary or permanent fixes with the aim of restoring service to the customer as soon as possible; escalating incidents to other support teams where necessary.
5. Interacting and working alongside 1st Line Service Desk as required
6. To accurately record, update and document requests using the IT service desk system.
7. To install and configure new IT equipment.
8. To resolve incidents and upgrade different types of software and hardware
9. To resolve incidents with printers, copiers and scanners
10. To maintain a first-class level of customer service ensuring that all customers are treated efficiently and in an appropriate manner.
11. To communicate effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues at all levels in the organization
