The Pulmonary Rehabilitation (PR) Service is recruiting a permanent Band 6 Physiotherapist (Full Time/Part time) to join our dynamic and well established multidisciplinary team.
The post will involve several exciting opportunities:
• Running one or more PR programmes within a leisure centre setting. The team is currently working towards Royal College of Physicians’ accreditation which will ensure that it delivers a high quality and evidence-based PR programme.
• Focusing on patients who find it challenging to attend a PR class with barriers to exercise such as complex mental and physical health comorbidities. This involves the new PR at home service which aims to reduce health inequalities in relation to access to PR.
• Opportunity to carry a respiratory physiotherapy caseload for patients who need support for conditions such as asthma, bronchiectasis, breathing pattern disorders and cough. This is an excellent opportunity to further your knowledge and develop your career.
Full support, induction and training (in-house and external courses) will be offered to the successful candidate. The post offers multiple opportunities to develop both clinical, managerial and leadership skills.
The role is currently Monday-Friday with no weekend, evening, ‘on call’ or bank holiday work. The postholder will be based at Nevells Road Health Centre in Letchworth but will be required to travel across East and North Hertfordshire during working hours. Previous experience in pulmonary rehabilitation is not required, however a good knowledge of respiratory conditions would be expected.
