SHEQ Advisor | Permanent | Nottinghamshire | £40,000 – £47,000
Cherry Professional are looking for an experienced SHEQ Advisor to work for a market-leading Civil Engineering company. You will provide assistance with pre-site preparation and on-site auditing. You will liaise with the site teams across the East Midlands, ensuring that projects are delivered safely, adhering to current legislation and adopting accepted Best Practice where appropriate.
Responsibilities:
1. Carrying out SHEQ site inspections and audits
2. Supporting the site teams with the preparation & review of paperwork including Safe Systems of Work, Risk Assessments, Method Statements, COSHH Assessments, Inductions and Toolbox Talks
3. Development and review of the pre-start SHEQ plans and site files.
4. Assisting with administration of Integrated Management Systems (ISO 9001, 14001, 27001, & ISO 45001/OHSAS 18001)
5. Assisting with incident reporting and investigation and accident trend analysis
6. Support and review Health, Safety and Environmental related documentations, such as the Construction Phase Plan, Environmental Management Plans, contractors RAMS etc.
7. Liaison with external bodies including Health and Safety Executive, Environmental Agency, Clients, and other stakeholders as directed by the HSEQT Manager.
8. Support the SHEQ manager in continually improving the Health, Safety and Environmental performance of Renewable Connections.
9. Prepare detailed reports on safety, health, environment, and quality metrics
10. Supporting the site manager(s) to deliver daily morning briefings.
Ideal Candidate:
1. Experience in utilities and/or construction
2. Knowledge of legislative requirements and best practice in safety, health, environment, and quality
3. Experience of audits, inspections and recommending preventative action
4. Experience with CDM Regulations
5. Ability to influence.
6. Quality auditor or a solid understanding
7. NVQ Level 4 Qualification or equivalent in Health and Safety.
8. Hold a NEBOSH General Certificate (desirable).
9. Experience of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001/OHSAS 18001.
10. Full driving licence with access to a vehicle.
11. Results-oriented, metrics-driven individual with expertise in purchasing, supplier collaboration, development, and compliance
