Key Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one or small group support for students with diverse learning needs, ensuring they can access the curriculum. Assist with the planning, delivery, and differentiation of lessons to meet the individual needs of students. Support students in both academic and social aspects of school life, promoting their independence and self-confidence. Work closely with the class teacher and SENCo (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) to track student progress and implement learning plans. Assist in the preparation of resources and classroom environment, ensuring that it is conducive to learning. Participate in regular meetings with staff and parents to review students' progress. Help manage classroom behavior in a positive and proactive way. Skills & Experience: Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar role is desirable but not essential. A genuine passion for supporting children and young people with special educational needs. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with students, staff, and parents. Patience, empathy, and adaptability in dealing with a range of learning and behavioral challenges. A good understanding of child development and the ability to support learning in a variety of subjects.
