Vehicle Field Service Engineer - Electric Vehicles - Norfolk - £30k to £50k Company Vehicle One of our Key Clients is recruiting for a Vehicle Field Service Engineer based in Norfolk with previous experience in Diagnosing, Repairing and Maintaining vehicles. Role - Vehicle Field Service Engineer Salary - £30k to £50k (8:00am to 4:30pm (Overtime & Occasional Weekends if required) Location - Norfolk Benefits - Company Vehicle All Travel Expensed Sponsorship - Offered The main purpose of this job is to attend client sites as required to carry out essential repair and/or maintenance of Electric Vehicles. The ability to quickly build repour with the client, diagnose the vehicle and deliver an on-site solution are critical skills for this role. When not out on calls with client’s time will be spent in the workshop supporting the build of electric vehicles so you could be working on your own or within a team of other technicians. Maintaining a safe working environment is critical to this role together with adherence to internal and customer Health & Safety control measures and wearing of required PPE. Key Responsibilities: Diagnosing and repairing EVs Attending to vehicles at the roadside or customer site. Maintenance of EV vehicles. Assembly of EVs in production including assembling/disassembling of EV Motors, Gearboxes, Power electronics. Read and understand technical drawings, manuals, and specifications Diagnostic and quality checking completed work Frequent travel offsite to clients or suppliers as required across the UK and very occasionally on an international basis. Communicating with customer on site. Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 or HNC/BTEC in Engineering Hold a valid UK drivers Licence Key Skills and Relevant Experience: 3 years’ experience in breakdown/roadside repairs Experience in the use of diagnostic Software Strong diagnostic capabilities, both electrical and mechanical 4 years experience of vehicle maintenance, pneumatics & hydraulics with electrical bias being an advantage Operate tooling, machinery and equipment related to assembly, repairs and modification of EV buses. Strong planning organisational skills and highly motivated The ability to manage your own time whilst in the field. Excellent verbal, written communication skills interpersonal skills Ability to work well under pressure to a high level of accuracy and good attention to detail Proficient with MS office suite of applications specifically: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams & SharePoint. Understanding of Health & Safety and PPE Physical fitness is required as the role involves lifting and manual handling and operation of equipment and power tools.
