About the Opportunity:
Position: Clinical Measurements Scientist (Echocardiography) - Advanced
Vacancy: Permanent full-time
Location: Cardiac Investigations Unit, Surgical Service Group, Townsville University Hospital.
The position delivers advanced specialist cardiac implantable electronic device (CIED) management as well as other specific cardiac modality testing and general cardiac investigations, to stakeholders/consumers within the cardiac investigations unit to achieve excellence in patient care, education, and research. Your contributions will be valued and impactful.
Remuneration Package:
Enjoy a generous remuneration package valued up to $172,615 p.a., including:
1. Salary range: $5557.50 to $5798.90 p.a. (HP5)
2. 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
3. 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation

Requirements:
1. Possession of a science-based tertiary degree from a recognised tertiary institute with a strong human physiology component and eligibility for membership with a relevant professional association or organisation.
2. Blue Card Checks: Potential applicants are advised that the Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian Act 2000 requires Queensland Health to seek a 'working with children check' from the Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian prior to appointment to this position.
3. The position may be required to work across any of the sites/facilities within the Townsville Hospital & Health service based on current service needs and priorities.
4. The position contributes to a seven-day service including the provision of after-hours emergency clinical on-call services.
5. This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
6. Whilst not mandatory, relevant additional qualifications or evidence of considerable professional development in cardiac clinical measurements or management would be well regarded.
7. Whilst not mandatory, relevant qualifications in Electrophysiology (IBHRE CEPS, CEPIA) would be well regarded.
8. Whilst not mandatory, International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE) certification in Cardiac Rhythm Device Therapy will be well regarded.
