Purpose of the role We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Day Planner / Logistics Oversight Coordinator to join our team. This role is critical to our operations, ensuring that all logistics activities on the day are meticulously planned, coordinated, and executed. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Key Responsibilities This role sits between the pre planner and the allocator and will take a broader proactive view, monitoring the order and fleet profile and moving resources / flattening the profile in advance. (and free up the CSL to lead) Daily Planning: Develop and manage daily logistics schedules, ensuring all deliveries and backhauls are executed efficiently. Coordination: Coordinate with various departments, pre planner, operations and allocator. Oversight: Monitor the execution of logistics activities, making real-time adjustments as necessary to meet deadlines and customer expectations. Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve any logistical issues or delays, working closely with team members to find effective solutions. Data Management: Maintain accurate records of all logistics activities, including schedules, inventory levels, and shipment statuses. Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for logistics-related inquiries, providing updates and information to relevant stakeholders. Continuous Improvement: Analyze logistics processes and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
