Based in West Kent, the consultancy provides a comprehensive range of design, installation, and maintenance services across sectors including commercial, educational, healthcare, residential, and data centers. Role Overview This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Building Services Design Engineer to join a collaborative and committed team. As a senior engineer or a mid-level engineer ready for the next step, you will lead project designs from concept to completion, focusing on project values typically ranging from £10,000 to £500,000, with an average project value of around £150,000. Key Responsibilities Client Collaboration : Work closely with clients and design teams to understand and meet specific mechanical requirements for each project. Project Design & Documentation : Develop and document detailed designs for systems including hot water, HVAC, low-temperature heating, and ventilation. Site Surveys : Conduct surveys to assist with pricing and understand project design requirements. Project Management : Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resources, coordinating closely with team members and clients to ensure project success. Stakeholder Liaison : Communicate effectively with clients, designers, and manufacturers to ensure cohesive project execution. Documentation : Prepare technical reports, design specifications, and operational manuals. Continuous Improvement : Keep up to date with advancements in engineering technology, design trends, and industry best practices. Skills and Qualifications Education : Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field. Experience : Minimum of 5 years in mechanical design engineering within building services. Certifications : Chartered engineer status preferred. Technical Proficiency : Skilled in AutoCAD and other relevant design software. Project Management : Strong time-management skills and organizational abilities. Communication : Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail and analytical thinking.
