The combination of a strong procurement team and their vast portfolio of large-scale high-tech assets provides them with the capability to deliver adaptable, tailor-made and cost-effective energy solutions with both pace and accuracy.
Due to business growth a unique opportunity has arisen for a strong procurement professional to join their global procurement function of 150 heads. The successful candidate will cover the Professional Services and Engineering categories within indirect procurement, helping contribute to the management of a total annual spend of circa £1.5 billion. There is an ample opportunity for a motivated indirect procurement professional with experience in the Professional Services & Engineering categories to further develop their career at a distinguished global innovator in sustainable technologies.
The office is based in Nottingham, and they offer a flexible hybrid working model of 2x office days per week. The firm are offering a package of c.£60 - 70k + package.
Key Responsibilities:
1. The primary focus of this role is to deliver value and provide the firm with a commercially competitive edge across both Professional Services (Consultancy, Legal, Audit etc) & Engineering related spend.
2. The role is accountable for end-to-end strategic sourcing, tender management, negotiation and contract management.
3. Both Regional / International supplier and stakeholder management, collaborating with internal functions.
4. Identify opportunities to optimizing sourcing activities, actively manage suppliers and look to both deliver cost savings and improve operational efficiencies.
5. Devise and implement effective category strategies across indirect procurement.
6. Develop, negotiate & performance manage contracts with strategic suppliers.
Desired Skills:
7. Strong functional procurement experience managing categories across multiple geographies, including negotiation of contracts across technical, commercial and legal.
8. Experience working with Professional Services & Engineering categories to drive cost savings, optimize services and reduce risk. Experience in managing larger procurement project / tenders.
9. Good commercial acumen, understanding of the business context to make sound judgements/ recommendations.
10. Experience working in the energy sector is preferable.
11. Experience using SAP, Ariba would be preferable.
12. Strong commercial acumen and interpersonal skills. The ability to manage stakeholders in a global structure and develop relationships as a trusted business partner
13. Degree qualified and/ or proven experience in procurement. MCIPS Qualified or working towards.
