An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lead Creche Worker to join the team at Wythenshawe Children’s Centres. We want an individual who is passionate about supporting our aim to make a positive difference and improve outcomes for children, young people and families living in Wythenshawe.
We are looking for someone who is experienced in organising and implementing a stimulating and varied programme of activities for children, within a group setting/or on an individual level. This role will be a worker who will be responsible for the delivery of crèches to support parent/carer activities at the Children’s Centres and Family Hub. There will also be an opportunity to work alongside our Early Years Outreach Worker to plan and facilitate quality stay and play sessions for local families with children under 5.
Your impact
As a Lead Creche Worker you will:
1. Be passionate about supporting our aim to make a positive difference and improve outcomes for children, young people and families living in Wythenshawe.
2. Help children to build confidence, extend their speech and vocabulary, and learn new skills through play.
3. Provide reassurance to parents/carers that their children are in safe hands as they attend their community activities, learn new skills, make friends and have fun.
Your skills
We welcome applicants who:
1. Are educated to level two or above with a recognised professional qualification in Early Years and evidence of continued learning and professional development.
2. Have experience of working within an Early Years setting and knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and preferably knowledge of the Children’s Act and other relevant legislation.
3. Possess the ability to provide high quality creche facilities and plan activities for the children within a safe and stimulating environment and are able to develop and maintain positive working relationships.
