RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Manage all costs relating to the project, from the initial calculations to the final figures, and seek to minimize the cost of a project while enhancing value for money, achieving the required standards and quality.
2. When the project is in progress, keep track of any variations to the contract that may affect costs and profitability.
3. Provide advice on contractual claims.
4. Identify, analyze, and develop responses to commercial risks.
5. Deal effectively with post-contract cost variances and the change control processes.
6. Carry out full construction take-off, prepare construction cost plans, and track costs and labor efficiency throughout the project.
7. Prepare and negotiate subcontractor and supplier contracts and manage through to final account.
8. Prepare timely and accurate assessments/payment certificates/payless notices for subcontractors each month.
9. Prepare and submit valuations and final accounts.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
2. Minimum 5 years of quantity surveying in MEP projects.
3. Experience in NEC contracts and industry standards.
4. Commercial knowledge.
5. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
6. Preferable to have factory or industrial plant experience.
