In this exciting new role, you’ll play a key part in optimising maintenance operations, ensuring equipment reliability, and fostering a proactive, safety-first culture. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you’ll turn challenges into opportunities and drive continuous improvement across all aspects of mechanical maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
* Champion maintenance procedures, methods, and best practices
* Plan and schedule maintenance operations to optimise resources and minimise downtime
* Lead the management of major shutdowns in collaboration with key stakeholders
* Oversee and develop preventive maintenance and inspection & condition-based programs
* Drive root cause analysis and implement reliability improvement actions
* Manage maintenance backlog and ensure clarity in technical documentation
* Contribute to budget planning, performance monitoring, and investment strategies
* Monitor and manage plant risk ensuring contingency plans are in place
* Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing mechanical maintenance team
* Ensure Engineering Quality standards are met and comply with industry ‘best practice’
* Champion the use and development of the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
* NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety
* Vibration Analysis Cat II certification
* Minimum 4 years’ experience in a heavy engineering environment
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and coaching skills
* High safety standards with broad H&S knowledge
* Can demonstrate sound knowledge of CMMS systems and Reliability centred maintenance philosophy
* Excellent communication, influencing, and time management skills
* Major Repair Planning & Project management knowledge and experience
