QUALITY MANAGER / QHSE MANAGER

Salary: £OPEN (DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE) + 26 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays + Company Sick Pay Scheme + Pension Scheme + Life Cover
Hours Of Work: Monday To Friday 8:30am - 5:30pm
My client is a well-established market leader in the supply of printed flexible packaging and labelling products to Blue Chip and niche brands within the UK and Europe. They are currently looking to recruit a Quality Manager to join their management team, supporting the business in Quality/Environmental/Safety/Health compliance across the Group.
Role / Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for ensuring the Quality Assurance procedures are complied with.
2. Control and manage environmental impacts relating to the business and establish best practice.
3. Manage and Co-ordinate BRCGS Auditing, following up BRCGS non-conformances and ensure site is always BRC compliant.
4. Support with document control, corrective and preventative action and trend analysis.
5. Work with site representatives to manage Quality Management and Operating Procedures including all Hygiene Operations, allergen management, and pest control.
6. Accountable for completing internal (first party) audits to support compliance assurance, audits, and risk objectives.
7. Resolve any areas of non-compliance (BRCGS).
8. Support the site with their maintenance log and ensure all jobs are completed in a timely manner.
9. Create a Safety Management System to ensure all incidents/accidents are reported and completed promptly.
10. Manage and order Uniform, PPE stocks and distribute as required, keeping records of issue.
Skills / Experience:
1. IOSH trained with experience in Health and Safety risk assessments.
2. Background in H&S and BRC Audits.
3. Experience of BRCGS and managing the system.
4. Well organised, with the ability to plan and prioritise tasks on own initiative.
5. IT skills and excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
6. Sound judgement and decision making.
7. Able to report and investigate Quality issues.
8. Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously when required.
