The Role & Responsibilities. The successful applicant will report to the Aerodrome Operations Manager. Once you have validated you will be responsible for supplying information to air users for the effective, safe, and efficient conduct of flights at EGFA. This will be carried out through the provision of a flight information service, alerting service, and additional airport information. As part of the Operations team, you will be expected to carry out duties in accordance with current CAA regulation as well as WWA`s Safety Management System, policies, and procedures. You will also be expected to play an active part in the review and amendment of the WWA Quality Manuals and documentation, attend relevant regulatory or licensing related meetings and liaise as required with customers, stakeholders, outside agencies, and contractors. Key Duties: Work independently and collaboratively, demonstrating professionalism and excellent customer service. Adherence to corporate standards. Identify and implement learning and development needs for yourself and your team. Undertake training as required. Operational Responsibilities: Conduct basic flight planning tasks. Liaise with Border Force officials as needed. Be an active part of the FISO team and assist with administrative duties. Attend operational flight planning briefings with based operators. Review WWA quality manuals. Provide unofficial MET observations. Conduct airfield inspections and report unserviceabilities. Assist with NOTAMs and aerodrome information updates. Support the training of new FISOs. Liaise with RFFS to ensure adequate coverage. Manage ATS email and PPR admin. Coordinate refuelling and handling services. Attend relevant training courses. Duties may evolve based on operational needs. Essential: CAA FISO Licence, or UK CAA ATCO. ROCC (Radio Operator Competence Certificate). Full Driving Licence. Proficiency in Word and Excel. Desirable: Previous experience as an Air Traffic Control Officer (ATCO) – civilian or military. Previous experience as a Flight Information Service Officer (FISO). Holder or former holder of a pilot’s licence (LAPL/PPL or commercial). Experience with Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS)
