We are seeking a proactive and experienced HR Officer to support and enhance the overall administration of our HR operations in the UK and Ireland. This role will preferably be based in Ross-on-Wye (HR9 7QQ) or potentially in Chesterfield (S42 5UY). Key responsibilities include maintaining our HRIS and employee records, assisting with recruitment and onboarding, coordinating payroll and training initiatives, and providing general support to employees and managers. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
* Responsible for overall HR administration, ensure accurate and proper record-keeping of employee information on our HRIS.
* Ownership of the onboarding, probation, and off-boarding process.
* Be a resource to individual employees and managers as appropriate; provide advice and support as required, facilitate problem solving and be a point of contact.
* Work closely with external agencies on recruitment activity and requirements.
* Manage and maintain recruitment systems - Review applications and resumes to determine qualifications and relevance to job requirements.
* Co-ordinate interviews, act as HR representative on interview panel for Operation vacancies, preparing contracts of employment and new starter documentation.
* Assist with preparing payroll data for submission to outsourcing company, including UK payroll as and when required.
* Support and assist with employee relation matters including tier 1 investigations and disciplinary's.
* Co-ordinate and participate in Unilin's wellbeing initiatives.
* Support in the delivery of Unilin's engagement and development framework to create a high performing culture of continuous improvement.
* Provide first level support on HRIS for system end users and participate in process improvement initiatives.
* Provide HR reporting and analysis.
* Undertake flexible working hours to meet deadlines.
* Undertake any other tasks appropriate to the position, as requested by management.
* Travel to other UK plants might be required depending on business needs.
Minimum Requirements:
* Relevant Degree/Masters in Human Resources with at least 2 years' experience in a similar role/function.
* Proven track record of strong attention to detail.
* Self-motivated to question and query anomalies and initiative to improve the process and workflow.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
* Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to problem solve is essential.
* Team player who will work with others to achieve company goals.
