Accounts Assistant - Purchase Ledger

Are you detail-oriented with a passion for numbers? My client is looking for a dedicated Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for:
1. Accurately processing and recording purchase invoices
2. Reconciling supplier statements
3. Resolving any discrepancies that arise
4. Preparing and processing payment runs
5. Maintaining accurate financial records
6. Assisting with month-end closing
Effective communication with suppliers and internal departments will be key to ensuring smooth operations. Previous experience in the motor trade would be highly advantageous; the volume and detail of the documents you will be handling on a daily basis will be extensive; you will need to be able to work efficiently and at pace.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
1. Previous experience in a purchase ledger
2. Strong attention to detail
3. Excellent organisational skills
4. Proficiency in accounting software (specialist motor trade software a huge bonus)
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office
6. Ability to work independently
7. Good communication skills
8. A proactive approach to problem-solving
