Job summary Southend Medical Centre has an exciting new opportunity, we are looking to recruit a qualified and experienced practice nurse, on a part time basis for 24 hours per week, for 8 hours per day, covering Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. To be considered for this position, you must have primary care experience. Main duties of the job To work as a registered practice nurse supporting the organisation and facilitate clinical care in a holistic and proactive manner to patients registered at the practice. To maintain a high professional standard of nursing care in adherence to all practice protocols and policies, as well as to provide nursing assistance to the GPs and other members of the primary healthcare team. It is essential that the practice nurse works within their own level of competency and expand their role in accordance with practice requirements and their own scope of practice. You must be qualified in cervical screening, childhood immunisations, vaccines, staple and suture removal, basic wound care and experience in SystmOne.
